Wow!!  What a great response we had to the show at the Gloucester Gallery from July 18 to August 18.

We had 5000 visits over the 5 weeks, people travelled from all over to see the show and just loved it.  Thanks to all of our knitters for making it such a hugh success.  A DVD is being made and also a photo book.

We have now moved to the Gloucester Shire Council foyer until October 15.  There are plans to take the show to Wallsend library, Port Macquarie library in the New Year, Gloucester's Centenary Show in April, Hornsby and Epping Libraries after the Easter holidays next year.  Definite dates will be posted as soon as they are finalised as well as any other opportunities to display the show.

Thank you all for your support and congratulations!!  People have been amazed and inspired by the display.  Please note that I will be taking a short break and will be unavailable until after October 7.

"Yarning Our Country" will be displayed in the Gloucester Gallery from July 18 - August 11 2013.  This may be extended to 6 weeks to allow people to come and view the exhibition.

I will also be investigating the possibility of sending the project to other areas (particularly in Sydney).  If you have a space in your area that might be suitable, please let me know.

More knitters jump on board

We have more knitters on board every week.  Radio interviews with ABC North Coast and Central West have helped spread the word and CWA groups from all over the state are showing a keen interest.

Please help us involve as many people as possible in your area.  Here in Gloucester we are having "Crafternoons" at the Gallery on Thursdays with knitters getting together to work on their projects.  I've even learnt how to knit!!!!!  Some river rocks are now on the way....
